GCP ALUMNI & FRIENDS We invite you to attend in person and/or participate via phone in our Devil's Advocate Sessions! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Philadelphia, PA on Sunday, January 27, 2008, 8:30am - 4:00pm, 270 JMHH San Francisco, CA on Sunday, February 3, 2008, 8:30am - 1:00pm, 529 Folger San Francisco, CA on Sunday, February 10, 2008, 8:30am - 10:30am, 529 Folger ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may know, each Wharton Global Consulting Practicum (GCP) team holds a Devil’s Advocate session early in the spring semester. The goal of the session is for a professional audience to provide each consulting team constructive feedback on its project work at a stage early enough that responses can be incorporated into the final project. During its one-hour session, the team makes a 20-minute presentation on their project definition and the methodology it is using to address its problem. The team also provides its preliminary thoughts on the final deliverables that the team will present to the client. The students from the partner schools participate via video or teleconference from their respective countries. The audience is comprised of a group of interested alumni and friends of GCP and faculty from Wharton who are not necessarily faculty of the GCP. Each audience member signs a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and provides constructive feedback during the remainder of the session. We will serve a continental breakfast on each of the three Sundays and boxed lunches on January 27th and February 3rd. These dining breaks provide networking opportunities for those who gather as they meet each other and the MBA candidates who have presented their consulting projects. Below you will find information describing this year’s consulting projects for clients in Chile, China, Israel, Kenya, and Peru as well as the schedule of presentations. To help us plan, to let the students know who will be in their audience, and to allow the teams to send you preparatory materials as needed, please send us a completed Audience RSVP Form and Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) via fax (215) 573-7180 or e-mail wgcp@wharton.upenn.edu at your earliest convenience, but no later than the Thursday (1/24, 1/31, 2/7) before each Sunday session. We welcome you to invite colleagues who have expertise in any of the subject matters described on the attached and who are interested in participating. If you cannot attend/participate in a session, but would like to get involved in supporting our students as a mentor or adviser, please let us know. Thank you once again for your interest in and support of the Wharton Global Consulting Practicum.
Best regards,
Leonard M. Lodish The Samuel Harrell Professor, Professor of Marketing Vice Dean, Wharton West Leader and Co-founder, Wharton Global Consulting Practicum Robert M. Mann Director of Consulting and Strategy, Wharton Global Consulting Practicum

Our professional network includes a diverse group of people whose careers cut across industries, business types and geographies. They are corporate executives, finance leaders, management consultants, entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, government affiliates, academians - and a host of other people affiliated with Wharton, the global leader in business education. The breadth and depth of this network enables the GCP to support its handpicked teams with the right mix of industrial and functional expertise needed for successful client engagements. The GCP's work and value for our students and clients are inherently tied to the professional network that supports our project work. Our clients are not only buying the services of the GCP teams, but the deep alumni and friends who offer subject-matter-expertise, creative ideas and professional contacts leveraged by each project. Moreover, the GCP aspires to not only service its students and clients, but to enrich the professional lives of its friends and alumni. In this regard, the GCP is not just a project class taken during the MBA years, but rather an ongoing affiliation offering potential benefits to those friends and alumni who actively engage in the program. We do so through a variety of mechanisms:
