Lisa joined the GCP in June of 2004.  She comes to the GCP from Princeton University where she worked for ten years in management. Lisa is currently working on completing her M.S.Ed. in Intercultural Communication with a focus on Higher Education. Her prior experience and coursework will help to open new avenues to the GCP.

Lior Yahalomi, Ph.D.

Dr. Lior Yahalomi is the Chief Financial Officer in Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. He is responsible for acquiring and investing in semiconductor companies enhancing Vishay's strategic and financial position as a leader in the semiconductor industry. Dr. Yahalomi was the Managing Partner of the CMGI @Ventures Technology Fund co-leading a $500 million fund invested in enterprise software, wireless, security, and internet infrastructure ventures.  He joined CMGI @Ventures from his previous position as Vice President for New Ventures at Gateway, where he led a team responsible for Gateway's diversification into Internet, Internet access, and e-commerce businesses. Prior to joining Gateway, Mr. Yahalomi was a Senior Vice President for Global Business Development at GE Capital where he led a global team responsible for mergers and acquisitions, new ventures, and global expansion. He also has several years of experience as a Strategy Consultant at Monitor Company in Cambridge, MA, where he developed and implemented strategies for high technology and consumer-related businesses. Lior received his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the Technion, Israeli Institute of Technology, and his Ph.D. from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.

Izhar Armony Izhar Armony, MBA

Izhar joined Charles River Ventures in 1997. His investment focus is on software, services, and Intellectual Property. He is currently a director of BusRadio, Gridstone Research, iSkoot, July Systems, Mobeus, Optaros, ThinkFire and Virtusa. He is also a member of the Advisory Boards of the Invention Science Fund and the Invention Investment Fund. Previously, he served as a director of Guardent (acquired by VeriSign, Nasdaq: VRSN), iBasis (IPO in 1999, NASDAQ:IBAS), iPhrase (acquired by IBM, NYSE: IBM), Yantra (acquired by Sterling Commerce), and ThinQ (acquired by Saba Software, Nasdaq: SABA). He also invested in Oberon, which was acquired by OnDisplay (then Nasdaq:ONDS). Izhar earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Tel Aviv in Israel.

Mr. Bass is founder (1991) and President of the venture capital group, Ivy Hill Partners, LLC in Annapolis, MD.  It invests in early stage communications, networking and electronics companies and advises them on corporate alliance and corporate development issues.  Ivy Hill Partners also advises corporations and governments on building new venture capital programs. Mr. Bass is on the advisory boards of communications startup LogicTree Software and the venture capital firm, Signal Lake Ventures. Mr. Bass holds a BSEE degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University.

 

Jill Beraud, MBA

Worldwide Chief Marketing Officer, PepsiCo

Beraud comes to PepsiCo after spending the past 13 years at Limited Brands, where she was most recently chief marketing officer of Victoria 's Secret.

At PepsiCo, Beraud will be responsible for developing global marketing strategies for PepsiCo's vast portfolio of brands to drive long-term growth and innovation. Her responsibilities will include: uncovering consumer insights through the most current approaches to give the company's brands a jump on the latest consumer trends; providing leadership in determining the style and functionality of packaging based on consumer needs; further developing the capabilities of PepsiCo's best-in-class marketing organization; coordinating marketing efforts across agencies; and working closely with functional leads in research and development, finance, sales, operations and the company's business sectors.

Before her time at Limited Brands, Beraud worked in licensed products, advertising, and management and consulting. She also spent five years in brand management at Procter & Gamble early in her career. She received a Master of Business Administration, Marketing & Strategic Planning from Wharton.

Yaron is a partner at SCP, joining it with fifteen years experience in building a number of high tech companies. SCP Private Equity Partners ("SCP") is a private equity firm focused on later stage companies in high growth industries, with an emphasis on technology. SCP generally invests in companies with commercially proven technologies that need capital to implement and market their business concepts. SCP targets the information technology, internet infrastructure, financial services, wireless communications, life sciences, security and education sectors. Yaron has an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.

Gary is the founder, Chairman, and CEO of GF Capital. He has a distinguished track record as advisor to leading domestic and international corporations on mergers and acquisitions, strategic development and financings, with a focus on entrepreneurial companies. In 2001, Mr. Fuhrman founded GF Capital to provide comprehensive wealth management and corporate finance services to entrepreneurs, corporations, individuals and families worldwide. He formerly served as co-head of Corporate Finance and Board Member of the international investment bank of Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder, Inc., where he was active in the oversight and growth of the firm's asset management business.  Mr. Fuhrman has nineteen years of investment banking experience.  He holds a BS from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Matthew Greene is the Founder and Managing Partner of Anvil Global Partners. Anvil Global Partners, a Fund of Private Equity & Venture Capital Funds focusing on China and India, is also the marketing arm of Wharton GCP in that region.  Founded in 2006 by Matthew, Anvil has established a strong network and presence in China and India.  Through the process of investing in PE & VC funds, Anvil is simultaneously creating a vehicle which helps to fund future GCP projects in China and India. Matthew has already helped Wharton GCP to establish alliances with Beijing University and Fudan University, and to revive the partnership with India Business School.  Through active potential client sourcing, Anvil helped to sign on the first 2 clients for the China project in 2006, progressed the India projects by helping to source 1 of the clients in 2007, and established pipelines for potential China and Taiwan projects for 2008-2009. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Syracuse University and a MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Richard Koppel is a recognized leader in the strategic direction, management, and exploitation of technology with over 25 years of management consulting and line management experience.  Currently, Chief Wireless Strategist for Northrop Grumman, serving the Public Safety Sector.  Richard's manages a group responsibly for identifying and developing new products and applications to meet the needs of "First Responders"; applications include: high availability high bandwidth data, VoIP, surveillance, identification, SCADA, and sensory devices and solutions. He has served as a GCP panelist since 2004 and has been affiliated with various educational and research institutions during his professional work including MIT and the Institute for the Future.
